When I worked at Bloomberg, I was probably six months into the job before my manager scheduled time for me to attend the week-long new employee orientation. I sat in the back and read The Hunchback of Notre Dame and a couple other books while the instructor explained how to log hours and check email. Good times. You can tell I’m growing as a person because I didn’t sit in the front of the classroom while doing this extracurricular reading.
