Almost There

I don't want to give away too many details yet, since I intend to blog about the trip when it's complete.

I spent all yesterday flying haphazardly around the country (LGA -> ATL -> SLC -> ANC) and spent the night at a Holiday Inn Express.

Everything here is so laid back. The airport itself is immaculate. The floors are dusted and sparkly. Unless Laguardia Airport, there aren't any stressed-out psychos standing at baggage claim (inside) smoking and then dropping the cigarettes on the floor. And the air here is entirely breathable.

I still have another three hours of waiting for my ride to Talkeetna.

My ten days of facial hair growth is looking good. My face should be adequately protected on the mountain I think. I'm going to be very happy to shave when this is all over with.
