McKinley - West Buttress

Got my reservation in for an expedition along the West Buttress route of McKinley, starting May 6. They said that it typically takes twenty-two days (and that's how much food we're carrying), but that it might end up taking longer. So, I'm to purchase

I have finished my list of Things To Buy for the Rainier/McKinley trips. The total cost is a bit staggering so I'm acquiring the items slowly, as needed. For instance, the ice climbing trip is coming up, so I needed the gloves, boots and crampons. I'

Adirondack

It is confirmed. I'll be going ice climbing Jan 22 - 24. Private instructor and all that. The guide company has a lodge in the Adirondack Park. Crappy five hour drive each way. I ordered my crampons, since I'd rather learn using my own instead of
