Death by Shopper

Uggh. Check this out. At some Wal-Mart on Long Island a crowd of a couple thousand people waited outside for the store's Black Friday sales. Eventually, the crowd broke into the store by pressing and pounding on the glass doors. Once the doors broke open, they trampled to death one of the employees.

I don't often find it necessary for police to do "crowd control", but in this case I wouldn't have been the least bit disappointed if they all got severely pepper-sprayed or something.

The article goes on to say that when shoppers were asked to leave while they dealt with the death, that the shoppers refused to because they had been, "waiting since yesterday" [for the sales].

Absolutely insane. I don't understand how these people are even capable of tying their own shoes. The world would be a vasty better place without them.
