Hot Plates
The dumbest thing ever is slaving to produce a delicious, hot meal, and then eating it cold. The idea struck me one day that I needed plates I could safely preheat in the oven. It later occurred to me that cast iron fajita plates are a thing, so I tossed them on my Christmas wishlist, and here we are.
Well, we didn't have the fixin's for fajitas, so I whipped up scramble eggs + sausage + english muffins. The only thing missing was the orange juice.
I ended up heating up the sausage (which my wife had previously cooked) on the cast iron plate while I cooked the eggs in a frying pan. I still need to optimize and improve the process a bit, but it was overall a success. Everything was hot when I ate it, instead of being cooled off immediately by a frigid plate.
Highly recommended.
