Nearly Ready
I've got twenty-eight pounds of food ready to go - including lunch snacks (for 20 - 22 days) and freeze dried breakfasts and dinners (for 12 days). The missing meals will be "fresh" food breakfasts (bagels + cheese, pancakes + blueberries, poptarts, oatmeal, granola) and dinners (shepherd's pie, burritos, ramen soup + chicken, gumbo, quesadillas, cream of broccoli, grilled cheese + tomato soup). They weigh more than going all-freeze-dried, but you get much happier climbers and that's worth the weight.
The plan is still to climb the West Buttress (of Denali), but I hold out hope that Wes can be convinced to climb Sultana Ridge (Foraker).
As always, location updates (and short text messages) will be posted here on the blog and at whereiscurtis.com. Additionally, Wes' blog will be updated after his periodic satellite phone calls back home: xxtinguish.blogspot.com.
