Pictures from Hawaii (2006)

I'll be typing up a detailed description of the four-day hike up Mauna Loa ... sometime. In the mean time, here are the pictures from the hike, plus a few from the day before, and some from a beach in O'ahu.

Additionally, there was a 6.6 earthquake near the island of Hawaii, earlier today. Nearly the entire state was without power for a time, and last I checked all of Waikiki (tourist central) is without power. It would seem that I left at just the right time. On the other hand, it is reported that the earthquake would cause some very impressive waves (though no tsunamis). I still want to see those fabled thirty-foot waves in Waimea beach. One day....
