Starting Over

I'm all signed up at the Lifetime Fitness place ... the place that's open 24/7 with the pools and everything else. Membership wasn't too bad: $59.95/month. They waived some $199 initiation fee, but they had another $85 admin fee - whatever that's all about.

On July 13, 2005 I made a calendar entry regarding my trip to the Mountain View Aquatic Center. This was the last such entry I made, because I switched to a normal gym afterwards.

"I swam 10 x 100 meter laps. I had to share a lane. At least it was the retard lane, so, it wasn't so difficult. The guy with whom I was sharing a lane had this $200 cranial mp3 player. He said that it works very well. I'm going to investigate further. That'd be seriously cool to have."

I forgot about that mp3 player. Anyway, it'll probably take me months to get back to being able to swim a thousand meters and be disappointed with the results. I can't wait!

I'm heading over to the pool tonight to start the pain.
