Swimming: Day 10

Swam a mile in 40:17 (1.49 mph overall), which is a new best (by thirty-two seconds). However, I'm seeing a bit of a plateau. I need another one of those 9+ minute over-night improvements.

I couldn't find the kick board to practice with after the mile (which is now officially the "warm up"), so I just did a couple half-lap sprints and started working on swimming longer distances under water (gotta convince my body that it doesn't really need oxygen all the time). The half-lap (25 meter) sprints (with my depressing kick) were 21 seconds each (ie, 2.68 mph), which is far from great but it gives me hope since I only need to average 2 mph to make my 30 minute goal.
