Swimming: Day 6
Swam 32 x 50 meter laps (1600 meters). If you'll forgive me a little bit of rounding, *that's a mile*! While pleased to have swam this distance, it took a humbling 50:20 (1.19 mph!) to accomplish. So, with a mile finally having been achieved, I can start graphing progress in terms of time instead of distance. The goal is one mile in thirty minutes (ie, two miles per hour). Let the graphing begin!

So, I had started by charting my progress with a three month time frame. That turned out to be stupid, as seen here:

Anyway, so moving on to charting time, I have a bar graph that shows my actual, my goal, and some dude name Grant Hackett from Australia who is a beast. He holds the world record for the 1500 men's freestyle, at slightly over fourteen and a half minutes. In other words, he swam at 4mph for a quarter of an hour. Insane. I took his 1500 meter time and extrapolated his 1600 meter time (assuming it would remain constant).
