Union Craziness

At this very moment my manager is packing up the contents of his desk into a box. He is moving. He is moving over two desks. In what should have come across as a blatant show of my opinion of his intelligence I asked why he is not simply carrying the items the three steps to his new desk. "Unions," was his answer. Apparently we are not allowed to move to new desks without a union worker actually carrying the items. Further, if he had moved without their assistance he would have had to move everything back so that it could be moved again, "properly".

The movers showed up this morning. They are picking up boxes, walking several feet and then unloading the boxes.
