Kevin's crib arrived, so I assembled the whole thing to surprise my wife. Legs, headboard, side rails, mattress, done. And then it would not fit through the door. So I took it mostly apart, moved the pieces in, and rebuilt it. Voila.

Sixteen acres in Jasper, my outdoor gym: three acres of 6-to-8-foot weeds tangled with thorny vines, the right tools, and a quadcopter for progress pics. The best part of the whole grueling process is lighting it all on fire at the end of the day.

Thirty-nine months of catch-up.

Thirty-nine months later, I'm back. A rapid-fire catch-up: an iPad 4, met a girl, married the girl, reclaimed the house, bought land in Jasper, and a son on the way. That pretty much catches you up.

Perhaps due to slacking off around Thanksgiving, the roadside tax collectors were out in force: nineteen speed traps between here and church. Sorry, Timmy, no present this year because Officer Billy Bob needed to make his quota.
