Cloud Computing

I can't wait until the term cloud computing finally gets shoved out of the vernacular and relegated to the list of idiotic terms used by a previous and archaic generation. Given that the cyber- affix remains in rampant use by the US government (and not a single private organization on the face of the planet) some twenty years after it ceased its brief stint with coolness (something cloud computing never had), I suspect I won't hear the end of it for a long time. If I believed that society learned from its mistakes, I'd long to live in the future.
