Crashed my Mechanical Wrist Watch

We're shocked back into the reality of the falibility of our home appliances every now and then when DVD players or game consoles crash. They're complicated devices with real operating systems, virtual memory, drivers, etc.

Long story short, I crashed my mechanical wrist watch. I'm not sure how. I thought the battery was dead at first, but that didn't make sense because based on the time the hands showed, I had used the chronometer since then, and I know there's only one battery in there.

After thinking about it for a while I decided to set it back to the correct time, and after doing so, the second hand started going again. And it's still going. I don't get it.

Maybe Tag has some secret pact with Microsoft.
