The Escalator Standers

At my present job I have to take two escalators and a set of stairs to get to my desk. I make this trip several times a day. Unless I'm busily typing something into my shiny iPhone, and sometimes even when I am, I always continue walking while on an escalator. And I have made many sweeping gereralizations about the people who just stand on the escalators, and block other people in so doing. We're all reduced to the lowest common denominator, and I spend those frequent eternities contemplating their sum over one's lifetime. Yeah, it's probably like two hours, but it's still freakin' irritating.
