Lead by Example

So, there's this relatively famous Obama quote:

"It's not that I want to punish your success.
I just want to make sure that everybody who
is behind you, that they've got a chance for
success too," Obama responded. "My attitude
is that if the economy's good for folks from
the bottom up, it's gonna be good for every-
body ... I think when you spread the wealth
around, it's good for everybody."

I'm thinking that Obama should lead by example and give away all of his possessions - all of them - to reduce himself to the lowest common denominator. He should do this whether he is elected tomorrow or not. If "wealthy" people shouldn't have their wealth while there are poor people, and if he does in fact believe this, then his not being elected shouldn't have any affect on his willingness to pursue this end, personally.
