Most Useless Menu Option

I've been using Mac OS X since its pre-release days when it was known as Rhapsody (DR-2), which'd put it right around May 1998. And I'm not sure when this particular menu option made its way into the Apple Menu, but it wasn't until yesterday that I actually noticed it - when I accidentally clicked on it while trying to run Software Update. Does anyone actually use this menu option, except for the accidental clicks? Like one might want to buy software so frequently that it would justify having a menu option in one of the most prominent locations in the entire system? They should remove it. I think I'm going to file a bug report.
