New Bike
A birthday spent unhappily in town, softened by a new Civia Bryant. I ditched the lingering '70s tech of chains, cantilevers, and derailleurs for a belt drive, internal gear hub, and disc brakes. A thing of beauty.
My birthday is tomorrow. It's been my custom to be out-of-town on my birthday whenever possible. My job situations (yes, plural) conspired against me this year and prevented that from happening this year. Recently I acquired a new bike (very similar to the picture below; a Civia Bryant). I eschewed the '70s technology that lingers in "modern" bikes like metal chains, cantilever brakes and derailleurs and ended up with a belt drive, internal gear hub and disc brakes. It's a true thing of beauty. Appreciate the picture now.
