Sales Blunders

When I moved, I had to update my mailing address with many organizations. Whenever possible, I did so through their respective web sites. Netflix was on such company, and I was not able to, because the USPS system they used for address validation did not recognize my address. I called them up and the customer rep simply clicked some over-ride button that allowed him to update my mailing address despite the claims of the USPS database. Wonderful.

I tried to place an order with Skype today. I ran into a similar problem on their web site. I called, and was told that if their USPS system does not recgonize my address, then they can't take the order. The end. Brilliant.
