One downside of life on St. Croix: Amazon deliveries might take 2 to 3 days, or they might get hung up in Puerto Rico for 3 to 4 weeks, with no way to tell. The upside? No sales tax, and the wait actually helped us plan better and order less.

One of the upsides though is that there was no sales tax for those online orders.
The delayed delivery schedule was actually nice. It helps you plan better and ultimately order less stuff.
