Fidelity

Star Trek
Star Trek came out today, and I'm missing it because I'm stuck on a mountain in Alaska. I'll catch it stale a month from now. Just as well: seeing movies in Manhattan is horrible. Today, if the weather cooperates, we back-carry supplies up to 14,200 feet.
Battlefield Earth vs Space Truckers
Space Truckers stands on its own as a solid B movie, but it forced a comparison to Battlefield Earth, which is in my opinion The Worst Movie Ever. That title matters: it is your zero, your point of calibration for judging everything else. You need to see it to understand.
Give me a Freakin' Break. Why Chun Li?
They are making a Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li movie, and of all the characters they could pick, they chose Chun Li? Ryu was clearly superior, with a real background and a reason to fight. Of course they chose the cheap character. Also, Gambit is finally in the Wolverine trailer.
In the Name of the King
I have famously low movie standards; suspend my disbelief for two hours and I'm happy. In the Name of the King still failed. The king's death scene had the theater laughing. Then I saw the director was Uwe Boll, and it all made sense.

No More Black
I watched a movie I was definitely not the target audience for. Probably the only redeeming part was an exchange about clothing: "no more black ... only high-powered, neurotic, castrating, Manhattan career bitches wear black."
