I found the most amazing gym ever: indoor and outdoor pools, ten minutes from home, open 24/7. When I'm sick of working at 3am, I can be swimming laps fifteen minutes later. I'm never moving. (Plus, some choice quotes on why XML is like violence.)

Got a new place in Alpharetta. Space won out over location. The lease starts tomorrow, the POD arrives Thursday, Comcast shows Friday. This is going to be a psychotic weekend.

MoneyWell is amazing. After years suffering through Quicken and MYOB and retreating to Excel, I entered every transaction back to the start of 2008 in one evening, and the totals line up perfectly. As awesome as finance software gets for a Type A personality.

Having burned through Anthem in Anchorage, I picked up my first Orson Scott Card, Ender's Game. Highly entertaining. The very end got a bit too cheesy for me, but it's a quick read, so even if you disagree it won't cost you much time.

I registered whereiscurtis.com, though there's nothing there yet. Meanwhile, I made a trade: I agreed to read Sense and Sensibility. As payback I considered the cruelest books I know, but settled on Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury. We'll see.

Delta confirmed my upgrade to Seattle, then it's back to the cattle car for Anchorage. I'm already on Alaska time, so staying up all night before a 4am ride makes a kind of sense. Also: ninety pounds up sixty-three flights of stairs, for the last time. Seventy-six hours.

I ordered a burrito and the doorman's call went the long way around, as it always does, because they can't seem to hear me until they finish the whole greeting. Then I hauled my ninety-pound pack up fifty flights, and my legs threw me around like moon gravity afterward.

An iPod Nano is settled, but I still need a book for Alaska. Atlas Shrugged is too much beast to finish, and I won't tear off a third of it. I need something Animal Farm-sized and, since I'll be running at half brain capacity, not too challenging. Ideas welcome.
