Three Cheers for Gold Medallion Status
Just got an email from Delta confirming my seat upgrade for my flights from New York to Cincinnati and from there to Seattle. Then its back to the cattle car for the flight to Anchorage.
And due to a complete lack of self-control, I'm already operating on an Alaska Time sleep schedule; and since my ride to the airport is at 4am, it only makes sense to stay up all night Tuesday. I'm not sure why it makes sense though.

I hauled the ninety pound pack up sixty-three flights of stairs this afternoon - and for the last time. I had set out with a goal of doing one hundred, but after dumping a gallon of sweat, drip by drip, I changed my mind; I couldn't remember _why_ I had wanted to do one hundred.
I'll do some stair running Monday and Tuesday, take the next three days off, and we fly onto the glacier on Saturday.
