Deadliest Catch or Deadliest Maintenance?

If you're the bot scraping this blog from Singapore, bad news: the excerpt is all you get. For everyone else, kids scoring screen time through chess and science shows, a bedtime question about communion, and crab boats that fears nothing more than proactive maintenance.

Deadliest Catch or Deadliest Maintenance?

I woke up feeling...weird. Mild headache. Weird blur in part of my vision that made me think migraine, but that never happened (thank you, Lord!). Generally lethargic and slightly irritable. For like the first time in forever, S actually noticed (or so she said) that I wasn't feeling well. I took a morning nap and woke up feeling a little bit better.

My aspirations of getting in a long, hard hike before S left were replaced with the mere hope that I'd be patient enough to not exasperate the kids while she's away.

S prepped the burgers and bratwurst for grilling today. The chicken was still frozen and not yet marinated or anything, so we'll save that for another day. Besides, the kids don't jump at the chicken to quite the extent they do the burgers and brats.
