Ditching Squarespace for Ghost

A three or four page site facing a nearly $300 Squarespace renewal. So I spun up a Ghost instance, copy-pasted the content, repointed the nginx proxy, confirmed it worked, and clicked Cancel. Cha-ching. I wasn't getting my money's worth. Good riddance.

Ditching Squarespace for Ghost

A contractor working on marketing, migrated a project website over to Squarespace for ease of design, SEO and all that. Fast forward a few years. The website has three or four total web pages, the almost $300 renewal is coming up, so I spin up another instance of Ghost, copy-paste the content, update the nginx proxy command to the new Ghost service (instead of Squarespace), confirm that everything works, and then click Cancel on the Squarespace subscription. Cha-ching.

I'm not saying that Squarespace isn't a worthwhile service, but I definitely was not getting my money's worth. Good riddance.
