Home School PE Class

5am alarm again. 15 minutes later, I got K up. This is his first trip to the gym. We started with 20 minutes on the treadmills. I showed him some weights and machines he might like, but he instead gravitated to the stair-stepper, then the rower, and he finally found a home with a stationary bike.

Gym Trip with K

5am alarm again. Fifteen minutes later, I got K up. We were out the door, on the road a few minutes later. This is his first trip to the gym.

We started with twenty-something minutes on the treadmills. I walked him around and showed him some weights and machines he might like, but he instead gravitated to the stair-stepper, then the rower, and he finally found a home with a stationary bike, which he seemed to enjoy a lot.

I did some rotations through several exercises that did not involve my shoulders (this is their day off – no swimming, dips, pull-ups, etc).

Back at home, K filled up a bowl with some garbage cocoa cereal (bad) and an excessive amount of milk (good). I really want to wean them off cereal. Gently. Somehow. It's difficult to do when I'm not upstairs and "in charge" of the breakfast routine and related grocery shopping.

I'm definitely going to do a rotation with K, H and J, where I get each of them to the gym once per week. I don't want to get any kids up at 5am on days when they have in-person activities, just in case they end up being grumpy due to insufficient sleep. I came up with the following weekly schedule.
