I Want to be Left Behind when Jesus Comes
John Nelson Darby.
Chances are, you’ve never heard of him. However, if you’re a ”mainstream” Christian, particularly in America, he defined the bulk of your belief system which was shiny and new in the 1800’s. Don’t get me wrong: new things can be nice, but not so much when it comes to Biblical interpretation — older is generally better.
This “pre-tribulation” rapture doctrine originated and was developed in the early to mid-1800s by John Nelson Darby, an early leader of a Fundamentalist movement that became known as Dispensationalism.

I've been sitting on this half-baked (quarter-baked?) blog post for months, not entirely sure where I wanted to go with it, other than being able to use this paraphrase of Karlo Broussard's particularly catchy headline. Click bait, I guess? Not that my blog gets clicks.
Well, I'll get this queued up for publication, and maybe I'll find myself inspired before it goes live.
