The Iliad & Odyssey of Homer
I need to read these books again. They're so good although trying to keep track of the names can be brutal.
If you're insane, apparently you can read the scanned pages for free online in a web browser – if you're in to that sort of thing.
Following up on my earlier remarks regarding a job interview, just a handful of minutes before the scheduled start time for the interview, I had the following email exchange with the internal recruiter who had originally contacted me for this opportunity:
Recruiter: Would you please reformat your resume <like this>.
Me: I can’t do that right now. That is a lot of work.
Recruiter: I’m sensing this isn’t the right job for you so I’m cancelling your interview.
Uhh, okay. Usually recruiters are bending over backwards to get the right candidates interested. And then there was this lady who is clearly trying to get me to blacklist the entire parent company.
This feels like the salesman making unsolicited sales calls and then cussing you out for wasting his time. Dude. You called me.
