Where's Our Dinner?!
S finally got home after 7pm. She brought with her an extra large pizza from Marco's (they had a special), and two rolls of sushi from Kroger. She also, finally, replenished our drinking glasses from Goodwill. The four pint-sized kids basically killed the extra large pizza. Crazy.
No Trail Running
I did some running this morning. Mostly just up the hills. Lots of walking. I needed to get out and do something to keep my weight loss / leaning-out process going. I hiked (and jogged) around the neighborhood for 5 - 6 miles after catching a face-full of spiderwebs while trying to escape our driveway.
Located at the low point between two mountain ridges is this hairpin turn. This area is one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. There's no noise from air conditioners. Rarely any cars. There's a gently flowing creek directly under where I'm standing (it flows under the road). Even the wildlife seems unexpectedly absent. It's just shockingly still and quiet. They need to level out a little bit of parking, add a park-style charcoal grill and I'd just hang out here on weekends.
