Driver's Licenses Around the World

Pumping gas at Kroger, H asked what my driver's license looks like. It reminded me of Glenn from Bloomberg's London office, whose "license" was a plain, unreadable sheet of cheap printer paper some 15 or 20 years old. I guess they didn't use that at airport security.

Recovered enough to run again (soreness down from "can't walk down stairs" to "only hurts when I laugh"), I was leaning into trail running. Then I cracked my knee on the shoe bench at full momentum. I took it as a sign from the universe: sit back down, buddy. Work awaits.

Is day-old, properly toasted leftover pizza actually better than fresh? I've never done the side-by-side, but biting into this lightly crunchy day-old slice, I cannot fathom the fresh version was as good. Mmm.

St. Croix Pros & Cons

One downside of life on St. Croix: Amazon deliveries might take 2 to 3 days, or they might get hung up in Puerto Rico for 3 to 4 weeks, with no way to tell. The upside? No sales tax, and the wait actually helped us plan better and order less.

Dog Owners, Poop & Smoking

It's easy to misplace blame. The neighborhood has three dedicated dog parks, yet people still walk their dogs through the one park meant for kids. Bagging the poop isn't the same as it being clean. It's not the dogs who failed; it's the owners.
