$10 Per Push-up or $1 million
Sometimes interesting questions come out of Reddit. Consistently, the wrong answers come out of Reddit. The post captured above asks,
$10 per push-up for life vs $1 million right now
Score one for Reddit for the interesting question. What about the wrong answer though?

It's not that this basement-dwelling Reddit user is wrong, it's that his reality is so bizarre. First, he caps his results at 200 push-ups per day. What's more, he labels that as "unsustainable". Right.
Moving on from Reddit to reality though, consider the 2nd order impact of this. I'll do a set of push-ups whenever the mood strikes, but if I had $10-per motivation always there, I'd cautiously ramp up while avoiding any repetitive strain injuries as my body adapted. The million dollars, no doubt quickly spent on Reddit Gold, would be long gone while the push-up income would keep flowing in.

$730k/year for 200 push-ups per day is the lazy minimum. And that continues FOR LIFE (in this hypothetical scenario).
It's a fun thought experiment. Time to do another set of pushups.
Dexa Body Scan
The timing of this topic is fun because I got a Dexa body scan yesterday. If you're ever feeling like you're doing okay with your weight and fitness because of your bathroom scale or some equipment at the gym, you too should get a Dexa body scan so that you can get sucker punched to the gut (so to speak). That $10 per push-up thing would be the perfectly timed motivation right now, on top of the body scan results (which in itself is highly motivating).
