The Brisket Verdict
Eighteen pounds, on at 10pm, off at 209 degrees the next morning, and about ten pounds of pellets for the whole cook. Excellent reviews all around. But I learned two things the hard way: trim the fat, because the bark builds on a layer nobody eats, and wrap it far earlier to catch the stall.
Apple Handoff
Handoff has to be the most obnoxious feature Apple has developed in ages. Consistently, I'l move over to my iPad, close an app, see the app I want to launch in the dock (on the far right), go to tap on it, only to have it replaced with another app right as I tap.
The only thing redeeming about this feature is that it can be disabled without impacting a lot of other functionality. Apparently you lose mouse-and-keyboard sharing with Handoff disabled – that's an acceptable price to pay.
Update: If you disable Handoff, you also disable the ability to copy/paste across devices. Ugh. I rely on that feature a lot. Stupid.
