Cars, Hikes, Pools and Bedtime

After the hike (enduring moderate dehydration) I weighed in at 150.1 pounds. That's the worst. Just 0.2 pounds less and I would have been "in the one-forties." Anyway, I think that'll probably be my low point: I've shifted to weight training. My poor body couldn't take running 4 - 5 days a week.

Cars, Hikes, Pools and Bedtime

This day was non-stop. I'm sure there are people who intentionally live like this. I prefer to just have one or two significant tasks each day like exercise and work with little side tasks like eat and bathroom trips. I’m simple.

Due to our unusual Saturday schedule, I wasn’t able to do any grilling. That means no leftovers for Sunday lunch. This just messes up all sorts of things.

I woke up at maybe 6am, got an hour and a half of work done interspersed by helping a kid get milk for cereal, find a lost toy, figure out where mommy is, remind A that I still don’t know when his camera will be delivered today, etc. Then it was time to leave for the mechanic. Then back home to go on a hike with K. Then jump in the shower. Hit up the package porch. Hit up the post office. Fill up on gas. Over to the pastor's neighborhood for a pool party and dinner. Then back home for showers and bed time.

But A's camera arrived today. We picked it up on our way out. He proudly marched around with it all day. It had just enough battery power to be turned on briefly, one picture taken, and then it shut down. He didn't mind. It'll charge over night.

The Wii U games arrived as well. We've got them unpacked, but there's no time to play them tonight. Tomorrow after church and lunch though, I'll let them dig into the new (used) games.
