From Paris with Love
I immigration, customs, and (miraculously) was reunited with my checked bag. Then: a vanishing Uber driver, a cash-only taxi, a sketchy neighborhood, and riddle-like instructions to get into the rental house. It was less hassle getting from Tennessee to Istanbul than from the taxi to my bed.
It is a ridiculous movie. If I had realized I'd end up sitting in the Paris airport for ten hours, I'd have thought to bring it with me, just for the fun of watching that crazy John Travolta flick while actually in Paris.

Food for Thought
Why is "AIRFRANCE" written in English? I'm in France. I'm at the airport. All of the planes I see are Air France planes, and the name "Air France" is written in English. For that matter, it seems like most (or all?) airlines decal their planes in English. That's interesting. Emirates is the one partial exception which writes its name both in English and Arabic (?).
