Pool Time and Celery Sticks
I'm 2nd place, behind a *girl*, in a Strava segment. I have a new focus in my life. Also, I'm the proud new owner of a smoker, or I will be, if it ever arrives.
S took H, J, A and W to the lake. K remained behind because apparently he and S were not getting along. Mid day, I let K know to (1) empty the dishwasher, (2) put away the clean dishes, (3) make yourself lunch, (4) you may watch educational shows.
(You might think that #1 and #2 above are an obvious pair that shouldn't require clarification. You'd be wrong. Long ago, S started making "empty the dishwasher" distinct from the "put away the dishes". I believe she did this because the younger kid(s) could empty the dishwasher, but not reach high enough to put anything away. And thus the chore was split. But for the older kids, in this day and age, one would expect them to know to do both. One day, maybe.)
I don't know everything K got for lunch, but I know he got celery sticks. I know this because I had to close my office door to mitigate the racket from his celery stick chewing – it was so loud.
