Banned from Walmart
I added a smoker to my cart, checked out, and minutes later Walmart cancelled the order for "rule violations." Which rules? No idea. I tried again; cancelled again. The chatbot was useless, there is no human to call, and I finally ordered from my wife's account, still completely baffled.
4th of July
Our neighborhood puts on a huge, professional, massive, ridiculous fireworks presentation. We've thus far avoided it each year. All of the neighbors in the court in which our pastor lives, put on the closest thing I've seen to a professional fireworks presentation (done by random people). It is superior to alternatives in the sense that:
- He smokes a brisket for dinner.
- I can step into the house to enjoy air conditioning at any point.
- The kids can run around all they want.
- You can get as close to the fireworks as you want.
- Did I already mention air conditioning?
Whoever decided that Independence Day should be in peak summer, really wasn't thinking things through. Mid Spring or Fall would have been way better.
