Stubborn Baby

W just learned to crawl and to sit up, which means bedtime is now a battle of wills: lay him down, he pops back up, crying. We ran that cycle a few times before the crying finally stopped. Was he asleep? Yes. Was he lying down? No.

Stubborn Baby

W is a stubborn baby. Last week he gained the ability to crawl all over, and shortly before that he gained the ability to sit up right (from a laying-down position). So, now when he gets put to bed, he can rebel and sit up right. We'd let him cry for a bit, and then return him to a sleeping position. He'd sit right up again (more crying). We played this "game" for a few cycles before the crying stopped.

Was he finally asleep?? Yes. Was he lying down? No.

He won. He fell asleep, but he stayed up-right.

Feeling Like a Run

I was feeling like a run this morning (which is a strange feeling, indeed!) so I walked down to the trail and accomplished my best run yet, specifically in terms of contiguous running (without dropping into a walk), and overall completion time. It was the usual 3.3 mile run. I'm looking forward to longer runs, because the untapped sections of the trail send to be much flatter and better maintained.
