The Secret Solution for Marriage Counselors

I am not a marriage counselor, but I have a proposal. Any couple weighing divorce should sit through what I watched today: hours of two parents bickering over a five versus six o'clock handoff, until the judge scolded them both for acting like children. Most would go home and work it out.

Scheduling Fail

I woke up around 04:30 this morning. After my protein shake, I started work. I don't have enough time to get in a workout before we leave for court. Shortly after I return from the appointment, I have a lengthy work meeting. Then it'll be early afternoon. At that point, most of my co-workers are online and they reasonably expect me to be available. The work day ends, dinner begins, and the rest of the evening is spent with the kids. No workout.

I'm looking forward to those parallette bars, because then we could at least get in some physical activity, even if it wasn't the full workout that I'd prefer.

Update: but as it turns out, I didn't get home until 5:30pm. Fortunately (?) one of my co-workers fell ill, so my afternoon work meeting was cancelled anyway.

But let's shift gears to my kids.
