Shed Pounds While Eating Out in Turkey

My wife took one look at me and said I looked skinnier. I was sure I had gained weight after ten days of restaurant dinners and limited exercise. The scale said otherwise: six pounds gone. I suspect a lot of it was muscle, which is not the win it sounds like.

My legs do not look like that, even if I do picture them in my head much like that.

I had hoped I was caught up on my sleep by yesterday, despite the math not quite adding up (I didn’t sleep more than six hours a night the whole trip, combined with minimal sleep during the flights home). I was not. 5pm rolled around and I ended up napping straight through dinner (personal pizzas made on English muffins) and kid bed time (thank you S, for getting all of that taken care of), waking up around 9pm, somewhat surprised and confused to find that it was dark outside. I stayed up for a couple hours (including eating some of those English muffin pizzas) and then slept again until 5am.

I really didn’t want to workout this Saturday morning, but I have come to recognize the value of routines. My (seemingly) eternal business trip definitely ruined my hard won routines. Even if it just ended up being a mountain walk, I was going to do something.

As it turned out, I scored a decent victory.
