Bears-o-Plenty
Two bear cubs with no mother in sight, then a full grown bear strolling through the yard. Also on my mind this week: why Delta sabotages its own wifi by snubbing Starlink, which of two insufferable strongmen is worse, and how Apple Insider decided the company Apple robbed is the real villain.
VBS Part 3, Day 2
It's a weird thing, leaving for a run at dawn and returning home to an empty, silent house. Usually the kids are up and eating breakfast. Maybe W is fussing about something. There's an incomprehensible amount of noise coming from the kitchen. But not this week!
I got out the door this morning a bit earlier than normal, which paid off. There was a very frightened raccoon that watched me carefully. I also saw two tiny bear cubs. I couldn't spot momma, which concerned me, so I kept on walking after just a moment. It's always better if you can see the mom, so that you can tell if she is concerned about your presence. When you can't see mom...you really don't know what's going on.
And then this evening, this guy went strolling through our yard.
