I'm writing this New Year's post in late November because my scheduled posts are backed up that far. Mr. Beast's "Hi me in 10 years" idea got me thinking about a digital time capsule, a note for the future, even if I'd never watch the man's videos.
I'm writing this post in late November because my scheduled blog posts are now backed up to New Year's, and I thought, "I wonder what a good New Year's post would be?" So, here we are.
I recall reading that Mr. Beast published a video something like ten years in the future of his thoughts on what his enterprise would be like at that time. I don't watch Mr. Beast videos because (1) I'm not an adolescent, and (2) he is seriously creepy (which is why my kids aren't allowed to watch his videos), but I dig the idea of writing a note for the future. A digital time-capsule, in middle-manager speak. I'll have to think about that.
Okay, so it turns out the "Hi me in 10 years" video finally went live last month (October). I don't actually care, and I didn't watch the video, but good for him for letting that whole ten years play out.
