Abode I've got me a new place in Alpharetta. I had hoped to find a place a bit South of there, but my desire to have lots of space won out. The lease officially starts tomorrow; I'll probably be able to have my PODS container delivered on
Liberty Ridge ... Our Summit Camp After summitting we set up camp in "the saddle" - the "low" (13,500' elevation) area between Liberty Cap and Columbia Crest (the true summit). It was flat, spacious and protected from the wind - which is all that I could ever really ask for.
Liberty Ridge ... Done None of the other climbs I've done can even be compared. This was both brutal and amazing simultaneously. Day 1: we met at the RMI base camp in Ashford, WA around 3pm. I met our two guides, Nate and Gary and the two other clients, John and Jeff.

Mountain Hardwear South Col I bought this South Col pack after a friend recommended it - and I needed something smaller than my full-size expedition packs for the up-coming Liberty Ridge climb. I stuffed about seventy-three pounds of rope, climbing gear and weights into it for a stair-climbing session. I liked that the suspension
Fiction vs Reality I'm about a third of the way into Atlas Shrugged, and I can't help but laugh when I see headlines about government stimulus packages and their intended benefits.
Denali 2010 Changes My part-time (ha ha) team from Denali this year has renewed their interest in a return visit in 2010. Somehow I managed to contain my squeals of delight. I was thinking that I would probably bring entirely separate gear if it happens; tent and everything. It'll make it
