Cohutta
I spent the last two-and-a-bit days in the Cohutta Wilderness on a spur-of-the-moment, this'll-be-a-good-way-to-try-out-the-new-spot-locator camping trip.
I happened across precisely five people during the course of this trip. Listed in reverse-chronological order (which also happens to be more-boring to least-boring order), they are:

Speed Cube
I ordered a Speed Cube. It feels way different than the standard store-bought cubes that I'm used to. The movement is soo light. However, the orange and red colors are nearly indistinguishable unless they're adjacent. Needless to say the speed cube hasn't amounted to

The FindMeSpot people announced the new Spot Messenger forever ago, and some months ago it was allegedly released - although no one actually carried it. And they restricted distribution to brick-and-mortar retailers. It wasn't like REI was selling out of it - they never received any shipments.

Maze Solver [3]
I got the C port of the core maze solver code done, tested, working and integrated with the OS X app. And the solution line is so much cleaner now.
Enchiladas (Made in China)
Funniest thing ever. I stopped at this place called Super Taco Express on my way home from work. This is a Mexican food restaurant staffed entirely with Chinese people. And the guy working the counter had a perfect American accent. Watching them fix my enchiladas I managed to not laugh
